Our Why
The Meaning Behind Echtrai
Echtrai (ECK-TRY) comes from Old Irish, meaning “a hero’s journey.” Like the name, we believe every company’s path is a journey of growth, challenges, and transformation. We exist to work in support of the CEO's hero's journey.
Echtrai knows that the CEO seat is a lonely one. When we were in that seat we wished we had a partner like Echtrai to help guide us through pivotal moments hopefully coming out with clarity and confidence.
Our Beginning
How Our Journey Began
We didn't purposefully set out on this path. Investors and Boards called us as they saw challenges with their CEOs. And CEOs had challenges with their Board and Investors.
Given our experience we played a role in what we have learned is a valuable one - to protect the CEO and navigate Board and Investor relations. After three years of referrals and stealth mode, for the first time we are more broadly opening up our Services.
What Comes Next
Path Forward
Reality is that in our current model we had more demand than we could support and the travel began extensive. In order to provide deeper value to more clients and spend less time traveling and more time on deliverables, we are launching our cohort offerings in 2026. Meant to provide an efficient jump start to your strategic planning, hopefully the cohort model will also provide insights from other leaders going through the same journey.
